ZP LITHIUM Signing background:

From July 8 to 10, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid her first official visit to China after her re-election this year. During the visit, China and Bangladesh issued a joint statement on the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership. 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Bangladesh. This means that on the basis of the strategic partnership established in 2016, the two countries will take the opportunity of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations to promote the development of bilateral relations to a new height. It is an irresistible trend for China to have closer economic and social development cooperation with small and medium-sized countries in South Asia and the Indian Ocean region, including Bangladesh.

On the morning of July 10, Chinese Premier Li Qiang held talks with Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who was on an official visit to China, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

Li Qiang said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Bangladesh nearly half a century ago, the two countries have always respected and supported each other, and bilateral relations have developed steadily and healthily. Cooperation in various fields has been steadily promoted, which has effectively improved the well-being of the people of the two countries. President Xi Jinping will hold a meeting with the Prime Minister, which will surely inject new impetus into the further development of China-Bangladesh relations. China is willing to work with Bangladesh to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, continue traditional friendship, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and promote more pragmatic results in the China-Bangladesh strategic cooperative partnership.

On the afternoon of July 10, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who was on an official visit to China, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The leaders of the two countries announced that they would upgrade China-Bangladesh relations to a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

Xi Jinping pointed out that China and Bangladesh are friendly neighbors who know each other and have friendly exchanges for thousands of years. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two countries have always respected and supported each other, treated each other as equals, and cooperated for win-win results, setting an example of friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation between countries, especially between countries in the “global south”. China cherishes the deep friendship created by the older generation of leaders of China and Bangladesh, and is willing to take the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year as an opportunity to deepen the high-quality joint construction of the “Belt and Road”, expand the depth and breadth of cooperation in various fields, and promote the steady and long-term development of the China-Bangladesh comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

On July 12, 2024, the second high-level meeting of the Global Shared Development Action Forum was held in Beijing on the 12th. Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and director of the Central Foreign Affairs Office, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.

Wang Yi said that in the past three years since President Xi Jinping proposed the global development initiative, the cooperation mechanism has been continuously improved, the cooperation results have been increasingly fruitful, and it has been widely praised and actively participated by the international community. China is willing to continue to enrich development financing channels, innovate development cooperation models, strengthen development capacity building, expand the network of development partners, coordinate actions with all parties, and work hard for a long time to form a vigorous force to promote sustainable development.

We will keep pace with national development and continue to work hard to contribute the strength of Chinese enterprises to all mankind in the field of new energy and renewable energy.
